I like the AI in LFS. It might be a bit stupid on times, but at least they do make mistakes, which is difficult to say about most other racing sims. 
I was messing about on single player last night racing the around Fern Bay Club (I think) in the XF GTR and the whole track is a joy to race in that car. My favourite corner is the left/right at the end of the start/finish straight. Scrub a little speed off before turn in then balls out all the way through. It's entertaining if you get it wrong and plough into the tyres, you often end up on your roof.

I downloaded the demo the other day following a recomendation from another user on one of the many forums I frequent. I enjoyed it so much I've purchased an S2 licence and was playing through the tutorials last night. I'm a fan of racing sims and coming from Forza Motorsport 2 on the XBox 360, I got on quite well with LFS. I'm currently playing with a wired 360 controller as I don't have a wheel. It works alright, but it is a tad too sensitive, especially with the LX4 or Raceabout.
Great game though, kudos to the Dev's.

Effortless handling != realistic. Just in case you weren't aware of that.
